BOARD OF GOVERNORS: FUNCTIONS
Presentation Primary School is managed by a Board of
Governors. The Board of Governors is comprised of 10 members.
The Principal is also a non-voting member of the Board of Governors.
Additional members may be co-opted onto the Board at its discretion. Co-opted
members do not have voting rights.
The Board of Governors is the school’s management committee and employing
authority. It delegates the day-to-day running of the school to the Principal.
Responsibilities entrusted to the Board of Governors include:
• Financial management
• Staff management
• Admissions of pupils
• School Development Plans
• Determination of Curriculum Policy and Curriculum
• Providing and ensuring the maintenance of suitable accommodation
